An established and growing organisation is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Operating Officer to join its senior leadership team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing service delivery across multiple programmes supporting young people, families, and community wellbeing. You will play a critical role in shaping operational performance, driving impact, and ensuring services meet both stakeholder and funding expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Lead and oversee multiple delivery functions across the organisation
✔ Manage and support senior managers to ensure high-quality service delivery
✔ Drive performance, ensuring KPIs, budgets, and targets are met
✔ Build and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and funding bodies
✔ Oversee programme performance, data, and reporting to demonstrate impact
✔ Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and new initiatives
✔ Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and organisational policies
✔ Represent the organisation at senior level and deputise when required
What They’re Looking For:
✔ Extensive experience in a senior leadership or operational management role
✔ Strong background in service delivery within community, charity, or public sector
✔ Proven ability to lead multiple teams and manage large-scale operations
✔ Experience managing budgets and delivering against targets
✔ Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership development skills
✔ Ability to drive organisational performance and continuous improvement
✔ Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
Desirable:
✔ Experience with fundraising or business development
✔ Knowledge of education, family support, or mental health services
✔ Experience working with public sector or funded programmes
