An established and growing organisation is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Operating Officer to join its senior leadership team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing service delivery across multiple programmes supporting young people, families, and community wellbeing. You will play a critical role in shaping operational performance, driving impact, and ensuring services meet both stakeholder and funding expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

βœ” Lead and oversee multiple delivery functions across the organisation

βœ” Manage and support senior managers to ensure high-quality service delivery

βœ” Drive performance, ensuring KPIs, budgets, and targets are met

βœ” Build and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and funding bodies

βœ” Oversee programme performance, data, and reporting to demonstrate impact

βœ” Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and new initiatives

βœ” Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and organisational policies

βœ” Represent the organisation at senior level and deputise when required

βœ” Extensive experience in a senior leadership or operational management role

βœ” Strong background in service delivery within community, charity, or public sector

βœ” Proven ability to lead multiple teams and manage large-scale operations

βœ” Experience managing budgets and delivering against targets

βœ” Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership development skills

βœ” Ability to drive organisational performance and continuous improvement

βœ” Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills

Desirable:

βœ” Experience with fundraising or business development

βœ” Knowledge of education, family support, or mental health services

βœ” Experience working with public sector or funded programmes
