The predicted salary is between 72000 - 108000 ÂŁ per year.

Our division delivers world‑class care across integrated services, renal and transplant, stroke and neurosciences, acute and specialist medicine, and urgent and emergency care. With an annual income of over £400 million and a dedicated team of nearly 3,500 professionals, we combine scale with excellence to provide life‑changing care.

This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of our organisation. As Divisional Director, you will provide vision, strategic direction and executive leadership for the Medicine and Integrated Care Division – one of the largest and most complex portfolios in the Trust. Working as part of the divisional triumvirate and alongside executive colleagues, you will ensure the delivery of high‑quality, safe and effective clinical services, while driving innovation and transformation across the division.

You will be accountable for:

  • Leading the division to meet all key performance requirements, including quality, safety, financial and operational targets.
  • Championing clinical excellence, research and education, ensuring our services remain at the forefront of evidence‑based care.
  • Driving continuous improvement and transformation, including new models of care and integrated pathways.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive culture that reflects our values – kind, collaborative, expert and aspirational – and engages staff at all levels.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including academic partners, commissioners and local communities.

  • Experience of leading a large complex organisation through significant change.

Qualifications Essential Criteria:

  • Clinically Qualified.
  • Degree or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NHS in the acute sector with up to date knowledge of medical / surgical services.
