We are looking to recruit an experienced Network Support Engineer to join our technical delivery and support team.

This role is heavily field-based and focused around network support, troubleshooting, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and operational support across enterprise and OT environments.

You will be working primarily across customer sites in Central London and the Docklands, supporting critical infrastructure environments where reliability, documentation, and attention to detail are essential.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong networking fundamentals, hands-on troubleshooting capability, and experience working within industrial or operational technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits across customer environments
  • Diagnose and resolve 2nd line network faults and service issues
  • Support LAN, WAN, switching, routing, and wireless infrastructure
  • Work on operational technology (OT) and industrial network environments
  • Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Perform network health checks, firmware updates, configuration reviews, and remediation works
  • Support project implementation activities where required
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineering teams
  • Ensure customer environments remain compliant with operational and security standards
  • Participate in technical handovers, reporting, and service updates
  • Maintain high standards of customer communication and professionalism whilst on site
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong networking background with CCNA-level knowledge
  • Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with switching and routing technologies (multi-vendor)
  • Understanding of VLANs, STP, routing, DHCP, DNS, and VPN technologies
  • Experience working in field-based support environments
  • Strong documentation and reporting capability
  • Experience supporting critical infrastructure or operational environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage site-based activities
  • Experience working within OT or industrialised network environments
  • Understanding of the Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture model
  • Experience with industrial switching platforms
  • Wireless troubleshooting experience
  • Exposure to firewall technologies
  • Knowledge of network monitoring platforms and diagnostics tools
  • Experience working within regulated or secure customer environments

Certifications

Desirable certifications include

  • Comp TIA Network+
  • Any OT or industrial networking certifications

Equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.

Security & Compliance Requirements

Applicants must

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Be capable of passing BPSS screening
  • Be willing to undergo SC clearance if required for customer projects
  • Location Requirements

Candidates should ideally be

  • Located within the M25 region
  • or
  • Within reasonable commuting distance to Central London and Docklands areas

This role involves regular travel to customer sites.
