Trust Payments has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist - Part-Time to join their team.
Working Patterns: This is a part-time role of approximately 3 days per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working patterns to suit your needs.

How will you make an impact in this role?
The Role: To manage end-to-end payroll processing and benefits administration across our global locations (Sri Lanka, UK, Malta, Ireland, EOR), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery whilst supporting the Finance and People Operations teams. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all payroll and benefits matters, maintaining data integrity across systems and providing clear communication to employees and stakeholders.
What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
- Payroll Processing
- Process and manage multi-currency payroll across all locations and Employer of Record arrangements using Deel platform.
- Manage new starter payroll setup and leaver processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Support Finance team with payroll reconciliations, month-end processes, payment run preparation, and year-end activities.
- Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, statutory payments, and GDPR requirements.
- Manage contractor payments and ensure correct classification of contractors vs employees.
- Coordinate statutory reporting requirements including pension scheme reporting.
- Manage payroll audits, documentation, and act as first line support for employee payroll queries.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare regular payroll reports for Finance and senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with People Analytics Specialist to provide accurate payroll data for reporting and insights.
- Support stakeholder information requests and contribute to people data analysis.
- Benefits Administration
- Manage global benefits programmes including pension schemes, healthcare, and life assurance.
- Coordinate annual renewals, maintain vendor relationships, and support employee onboarding with benefits enrolment.
- Act as first line support for employee benefits queries and elevate complex issues as needed.
- Develop and distribute clear benefits communications and ensure compliance across all jurisdictions.
- Systems and Stakeholder Management
- Maintain data integrity across HiBob and Deel platforms.
- Liaise with Finance, People Operations, People Analytics, and external payroll providers.
- Communicate payroll changes, deadlines, and updates to relevant parties.
- Work closely with People Operations on new starter and leaver processes.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll and benefits processes.
- Contribute to standard operating procedures and support system improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in multi-jurisdiction payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations across multiple countries and understanding of EOR arrangements.
- Experience managing contractor payments and understanding of employment status classifications.
- Experience with global payroll platforms (Deel or similar) and HRIS systems (HiBob advantageous).
- Numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel.
- Clear communication skills with ability to explain complex information to employees and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and handle confidential data with discretion.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of pension auto-enrolment, statutory reporting requirements, and benefits compliance.
- Exposure to payroll audits and process improvement initiatives.
