Trust Payments has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. Location: Hybrid- London, United Kingdom (Flexible on the location in the UK). Salary: Competitive + Benefits.
How will you make an impact in this role? Trust Payments is currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support our Data Science Team. This role suits candidates with strong analytical and technical skills demonstrated through work experience. You will create and improve innovative data products, focusing on complex challenges and pioneering analytical approaches, including tools and algorithms. The work includes traditional modelling as well as emerging (Gen)AI approaches. You will explore new data sources such as loyalty, digital and basket data for commercial purposes across our proprietary and partner product sets.
What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
- Play a vital part in the Data Science function within Trust Payments, creating and improving our product suite, including coding and working with clients.
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
- Explore opportunities to build new data-driven products and services.
- Work alongside payments, loyalty, web and retail products to examine data patterns and build customer strategy for monetising that data and connecting with other products.
- Contribute to a community for data science within the business, upskilling the overall team and strengthening a data-native mindset and culture.
- Collaborate with Retail, ML, Data Engineering, Automation and Software Development experts.
Qualifications Experience:
- Demonstrated experience using Machine Learning, Python, SQL, generative AI and visualisation techniques to solve real-world challenges.
- Experience in cloud native architecture, especially on AWS, AWS ETL/ELT processes, databases, CI/CD, Git, web front-end development, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon QuickSight (beneficial).
- Experience in financial services, ideally payments (gateways, acquiring and processing) (beneficial).
Skills:
- Analytical and technical capability.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear business language.
- Track record of identifying and creating value in data (beneficial).
