How will you make an impact in this role?
The Role: Trust Payments is looking for a Business Development Manager (Inbound Sales) to join our growing sales function. This is a new business role focused on converting high-quality inbound leads into long-term client relationships. You will be the first point of meaningful contact for prospective clients, helping them understand how our payment solutions can solve real business challenges. Success in this role comes from listening well, advising confidently, and collaborating effectively across the business.
What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
- Respond promptly within agreed SLAs to inbound enquiries across all relevant channels.
- Apply a consultative approach to understand the needs and goals of each prospect.
- Identify key challenges for merchants and partners, then match the right products and services to address them whilst maintaining profitability within agreed pricing guidelines.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms, with full support available from your Line Manager, Department Director, and Pricing Manager.
- Consistently deliver against agreed KPIs, with a view to continuous growth.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system to support reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Represent Trust Payments at trade events where required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an inbound, customer-facing environment — ideally within payments, with exposure to online and in-person payment solutions.
- Outcomes-oriented, with a track record of delivering against targets and a drive to keep improving.
- A natural problem-solver who can quickly map products and services to a client's specific needs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask the right questions to fully understand client requirements.
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous development.
- A professional and collaborative approach in all internal and external interactions.
