How will you make an impact in this role?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) who will work with stakeholders across all business areas to identify needs, analyse processes and translate business requirements into clear, actionable specifications. The BA will serve as a connection point between the business and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are thoroughly documented, understood, and successfully implemented. The focus of this role is on business operations, projects, and regulatory mandates, requiring analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with a focus on understanding and resolving business challenges.
What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders for projects, mandates and ad hoc small change requests
- Analyse business processes to identify and document inefficiencies, proposing practical solutions for resolution
- Develop and present business cases for proposed solutions
- Work closely with technology and business teams to agree on the best solutions, facilitating clear communications between both areas
- Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making
- Develop and maintain business tools such as ROI calculators to support business case development and decision-making
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to define project scope and objectives
- Create reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Support Business UAT, providing demos and guidance to stakeholders
- Assist with training on new systems and processes where required
- Create documented processes and training materials to enable business users to develop analytical capabilities independently, with BA oversight ensuring quality and consistency
- Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge and guidance in business analysis techniques and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant business experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Business Analyst role
- Demonstrable background within payments, banking, or fintech environments
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, QuickSight)
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- A data-focused approach, with emphasis on productivity and efficiency
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
- Business Analysis certification is a plus
