Overview

In this role you will ensure high-quality retail software across Web, Mobile, and API by combining manual and automated testing. You’ll work with the retail development and delivery teams to uphold a robust test strategy, driving end-to-end quality and continuous improvement. The position blends hands-on testing with automation, and offers hybrid work after probation, contributing to Trust Payments’ mission of reliable fintech solutions. You will help shape quality practices in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse requirements to design test conditions for positive and negative scenarios
  • Create and run manual test cases with clear evidence
  • Design, build and maintain automated test scripts within established frameworks
  • Analyse automated test results and contribute to framework improvements
  • Demo new functionality and upskill team members
  • Raise defects and investigate failures in collaboration with developers
  • Uphold high software quality across multiple projects and flag unclear requirements
  • Communicate testing progress in stand-ups and 1-2-1s, escalating risks when needed
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to shifting priorities

Key requirements

  • 3+ years in QA or testing roles
  • 1+ years with automation testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Appium, REST Assured)
  • Experience with databases and SQL for test data management and verification
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and participation in Agile ceremonies
  • Experience using defect management tools such as Jira
  • Proactive and professional approach
  • Genuine commitment to product quality
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
