Requirements
- At least 7 years experience as a senior developer, solution architect, or in a similar technical leadership role
- Thorough knowledge of software architecture, development practices, and object‑oriented design
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services
- Experience designing software with security in mind
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL, particularly MySQL
- Experience with microservice-based architectures
- Understanding of Agile methodology and processes
- Self‑motivated and proactive, with a professional and positive approach
- Able to work independently while mentoring and collaborating with team members
- Analytical and detail‑oriented, with a thorough approach to complex problems
- Organised and able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Clear and confident communicator, able to engage effectively at all levels
- Successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations
- Desirable: Bachelors degree in computing, mathematics, science, or a related field
- Desirable: Experience with Maven and Gradle build tools
- Desirable: Experience using static code analysis tools such as SonarQube or SonarCloud
Responsibilities
- Define and design end‑to‑end technical solutions aligned with business requirements and technical direction
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to bridge product and technical teams
- Create high‑level and low‑level architectural designs, diagrams, and documentation
- Propose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms, selecting options in collaboration with the Technical Lead
- Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable
- Serve as the technical authority throughout the development lifecycle across teams
- Guide and mentor development teams on architectural decisions and best practices
- Conduct code and design reviews to ensure adherence to architecture standards
- Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and compliance requirements
- Help evaluate and manage technical debt, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies
- Communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, internally and with external clients
- Participate in an on‑call rota, providing 24/7 support coverage for approximately one week every 5 to 6 weeks, depending on rota size
