About the Role

You will sit at the core of how language learning is delivered at scale, combining linguistic expertise, data, and technology to shape an engaging and effective learning experience. You will contribute to the development and optimisation of AI-powered learning features, ensuring pedagogical accuracy and consistency, and helping to build a smarter and more scalable language learning product.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Learning Designers and AI engineers to design and refine prompts for AI-driven features
  • Evaluate and improve existing prompts to ensure quality and consistency
  • Implement benchmarking systems for new languages and features
  • Develop and scale evaluation processes and frameworks
  • Support content tagging and structuring for use in AI systems

Qualifications

Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computational Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Natural Language Processing, or similar

Required Skills

  • Strong linguistic foundation, including core areas such as syntax, semantics, phonology
  • Understanding of language systems, CEFR framework, and second language acquisition principles
  • Fluency in English (C2) and proficiency (C1) in at least one additional language (French, Spanish, or German preferred)
  • Interest in or exposure to AI in education, with a data-driven mindset and the ability to use learner data to inform decisions
