I am currently partnering with one of the most exciting names in the global AI space. My client is a hyper-growth Fintech that is fundamentally restructuring how the world’s premier financial institutions handle their most complex workflows.
Having recently closed a Series A —one of the largest ever recorded in the sector—and backed by elite global investors, they are now seeking a heavy-hitting Senior Backend Engineer to join their Start-Up engineering culture in London.
The Opportunity
In this role, you won\’t just be writing features; you will be the architect of the high-performance infrastructure powering a global AI workspace. You will be responsible for building the \”engine room\” that allows sophisticated machine learning models to operate at an enterprise scale, ensuring that massive financial data pipelines are processed with millisecond precision and ironclad security.
Location: Central London (Fully Onsite)
Your Impact;
Engineer Scalable Ecosystems: Design and deploy the core backend services and APIs that support a rapidly expanding user base of global financial giants.
Master Complex Data: Optimize high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems and refine sophisticated database architectures.
Bridge AI & Production: Work hand-in-hand with ML specialists to turn experimental models into robust, production-ready systems.
Drive Technical Excellence: Set the benchmark for code quality, lead technical design reviews, and mentor a high-calibre team of rising engineering talent.
The Profile
We\’re looking for a \”builder\” at heart—someone who thrives when the stakes are high and the problems are non-obvious.
The Toolkit: You bring 6+ years of experience, with a solid background in Python and modern frameworks such as FastAPI and Django.
Databases: You have a solid understanding of PostgreSQL (optimization and scaling),
Architectural Fluency: You are well-versed in event-driven patterns, microservices, and cloud-native environments (Azure/Docker/K8s).
The Mindset: You are comfortable with the \”uncomfortable\” nature of a scaling startup. You are tenacious, focused, and ready to work alongside founders with a history of successful exits.
