I'm partnering exclusively with a leading Tech for Good organization that builds the technical infrastructure used by government bodies and local authorities to tackle the UK’s most complex social challenges. They are seeking a Senior/Principal Software Engineer to help them tackle a major two-year project, directly impacting how support is delivered to marginalised groups nationwide.

Remote First - in the London office once a month. Salary: Up to £90,000 (2-year FTC with a very high likelihood of extension or moving to permanent).

The Challenge

This isn’t a "standard" corporate role. You’ll be working in a high‑autonomy environment where ethics and security are at the heart of every line of code.

  • Security Mastery: Deep security/DevSecOps experience, specifically implementing and monitoring systems for data breaches and observability.
  • AI & Ethics: We need someone comfortable with AI who doesn’t just chase the hype but understands the real possibilities. We’re looking for a candidate with a grounded opinion on integrating AI into workflows, whether you’ve explored this through personal projects, studies, or at work.
  • Autonomy & Technical Leadership: Comfortable delivering projects independently, troubleshooting, and reviewing/coaching others.
