Job Description

Title: Java API Developer
Location: Northampton, UK 
Type: Hybrid 
Salary: £290 per day (inside IR35)
Contract: Until Dec 2025 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable APIs.
  • Translate technical designs into clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Perform peer code reviews and support junior developers with technical guidance.
  • Write and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality.
  • Contribute to local environment setup processes and automation improvements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to support Agile delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) or MCA from a recognized institution.
  • Strong core Java development skills.
  • Solid hands-on experience with:
    • Spring, Hibernate, and Spring Boot
    • Java Web Services, including SOAP and RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with development best practices, source control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments and team-based development.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for clean code.
  • Ability to mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Enthusiastic about bringing innovative solutions to technical challenges.
