We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a major Payroll Transformation programme. This role is suited to someone with direct experience capturing and defining payroll requirements and supporting the implementation of a new payroll platform alongside a new payroll provider.

You will work closely with global and local payroll teams, vendors, and technical delivery partners to ensure requirements are well defined, processes are clearly mapped, and the solution meets business and compliance needs. This role reports into the Lead Business Analyst.

Key Skills
  • Direct experience capturing and defining payroll requirements for a payroll transformation or system implementation.
  • Hands-on involvement in implementing a new payroll platform and onboarding a new payroll provider (e.g., ADP, SD Worx, Ceridian, NGA/Alight, Workday Payroll).
  • Experience producing payroll process maps, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Previous experience supporting payroll UAT, data migration, reconciliation, or cutover activities is advantageous.
  • Experience working in global or multi-country payroll environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong capability in requirements engineering, process analysis, and documentation.
  • Understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, compliance requirements, and payroll operating models.
  • Ability to run workshops and engage with global and local payroll SMEs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a complex, multi-market programme environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational discipline.
Responsibilities
  • Capture, analyse, and document end-to-end payroll requirements, including statutory, regulatory, functional, operational, and integration needs.
  • Develop detailed as-is and to-be payroll process maps, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of a new payroll platform and provider, producing requirements, data definitions, validation rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with payroll SMEs, finance teams, and in-market stakeholders.
  • Ensure payroll requirements are traceable through design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with the vendor/provider during configuration reviews, functional design walkthroughs, and solution validation.
  • Support payroll data migration activities, including mapping, transformation requirements, and reconciliation needs.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality analysis artefacts including process flows, user stories, test scenarios, and documentation.
  • Identify and escalate risks and dependencies associated with payroll timelines, compliance, or solution design.
