A global leader and long-standing pioneer in the music industry is launching a brand-new D2C division. We are seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to lead the development of new products and a small team of engineers.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Leadership: 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams (mentoring, hiring, and culture building).
- Domain Expertise: Experience in E-commerce/D2C environments (Shopify, NetSuite, etc.).
- Technical Depth: A background in modern stacks—specifically Python or Node.js, React, and Microservices architecture.
- Cloud Native: Expert-level knowledge of AWS ecosystems.
- Strategic Mindset: You’ve led system re-platforming or built "greenfield" products from zero to one.
- Technical Roadmap: Own the end-to-end technical strategy for the new D2C platform, ensuring it is scalable, resilient, and secure.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-caliber engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, testing, and clean code.
- Architectural Vision: Lead the end-to-end delivery of this new product.
- Stakeholder Influence: Collaborate with creative and commercial leadership to align technical delivery with the company’s artist-first mission.
