DevOps Engineer – OUTSIDE IR35 – HIRING ASAP

Location: 1-2 days per fortnight in Portsmouth & rest of the month working from home
Rate: £400 - £470 per day OUTSIDE IR35
Summary: We are looking for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to join a well-established Platform Engineering team that act as an enabler to allow application teams to practice DevOps via best of class platform, tooling, and standards. The ideal candidate will work across product-focused teams to gather requirements, evaluate tools, implement/update solutions, provision environments, and assist with operational issues. They will also contribute to the community ensuring that DevOps practices evolve in line with technology advances.
Skills:
- Kubernetes (3 years min)
- Helm
- CI/CD pipelines
- Linux
- VCS (ideally Github)
- Building and maintaining containers
- Good communication skills both in written and verbal format with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability
- Developing common services, manuals etc. to support delivery teams in taking ownership of their services through the entire development life cycle.
- Infrastructure-as-code
- Bash
- Delivery methods and techniques, including agile scrum experience.

- RedHat OpenShift
- Hashicorp (such as Terraform, Packer, Vault)
