Soda has partnered with a a UK-incorporated advisory firm supporting a global ecosystem of operational and service companies.

Role: Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

Location: UK – Fully Remote

They are now on the hunt for an exceptional Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to lead and build our in-house legal function from the ground up. This is an exciting chance for an experienced consultant from a leading law firm to move into a fast-paced, entrepreneurial role with wide strategic influence!

As CLO, you’ll advise on complex international matters, ensure regulatory compliance across English and EU jurisdictions, and shape the legal frameworks that support rapid cross-border growth. You\’ll initially work independently, supported by top-tier law firms, before building your own legal team.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Lead legal strategy across a group of global companies

🔹 Ensure UK and EU legal compliance

🔹 Negotiate and manage key commercial agreements

🔹 Oversee governance, transactions, and regulatory matters

🔹 Build and lead the in-house legal team

🔹 Advise leadership on risk and policy

What We’re Looking For

✅ 10–15+ years’ experience, ideally from a top international firm

✅ Expert in UK law, with EU corporate law exposure

✅ Skilled in cross-border legal strategy

✅ Bonus: experience in PE, sports, or retail

✅ Fluent English (Arabic a plus)
