Trust in People are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor in London. This is a Permanent position working for an Electrical Sub Contractor.
Role:
- Manage the overall commercial function of our London projects
- Produce monthly applications for payment (AFP)
- Prepare and submit project variations and general change management
- Prepare and submit month-end reports after monitoring and analysing monthly cost reports
- Attend meetings where necessary to progress or agree project accounts
- Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Become familiar with standard forms of contract including but not limited to NEC3
- Negotiate Subcontract terms
- Prepare Subcontracts, valuation of works executed by Subcontractors and certify interim and final payments
- Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement, valuation of work, invoicing and cash collection
- Training and support provided to assist in further development
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A good understanding of electrical systems is preferred but not essential
- Relevant Qualification whether Degree, HNC, or NVQ in Quantity Surveying
