Trust in People are currently recruting for a Quantity Surveyor in London. This is a Permanent position working for an Electrical Sub Contractor.
- Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the overall commercial function of our London projects
- Produce monthly applications for payment (AFP)
- Prepare and submit project variations and general change management
- Prepare and submit month-end reports after monitoring and analysing monthly cost reports.
- Attend meetings where necessary to progress or agree project accounts
- Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
- Become familiar with standard forms of contract including but limited to NEC3 & JCT
- Negotiating Subcontract terms & conditions with our Clients & Contractors
- Preparation of Subcontracts, valuation of works executed by Subcontractors and certify interim and final payments
- Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement, valuation of work, invoicing and cash collection
- Training and support provided to assist in further development
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager
- Key Skills and Qualifications
- A good understanding of electrical systems is preferred but not essential
- Relevant Qualification whether Degree, HNC, or NVQ in Quantity Surveying (Preferred)
- 2 + Years' experience with Temporary Services Packages (Preferred)
- Candidates without the above may still be considered
- Strong IT skills, confident in the use of MS Office in particular Excel
- Communication skills and team working attitude
- Good time management skills
- Methodical and a proactive learner
