About Us

Trust in Fife operates two homeless accommodation hostels in Kirkcaldy providing support and guidance to people aged over 16 who have found themselves homeless. We also provide support to people in the private rented sector through the Fife Private Rental Solutions (FPRS) team. Our charity shop, The Cairn Centre, supports a team of volunteers and offers value-for-money products in the local community. All this helps us to work towards achieving our mission of taking positive steps towards assisting vulnerable and homeless people in Fife.

The Role

TiF is seeking a motivated person to join our experienced team as Retail Co-Ordinator to oversee and run the company’s charity shop.

The duties of the Retail Co-Ordinator are varied but include day-to-day running of the charity shop including dealing with the public, stock control and cashing up. The Retail Co-Ordinator will also have responsibility for the company warehouse, supporting volunteers and the upkeep of the online shop. Previous knowledge of working in a retail environment along with a good working knowledge of MS Office are also requirements for the role. The role will be subject to a PVG check.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and run the charity shop operations
  • Deal with customers and public inquiries
  • Manage stock control and cash handling
  • Ensure the company warehouse is organised and tasks are completed
  • Support volunteers and manage the upkeep of the online shop
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of MS Office (as required)
  • PVG check compliance

Qualifications

  • Experience in a retail environment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to manage cash and stock control
