Later Living Care Worker – Join Our New Later Living Team

We’re launching brand‑new Later Living services this October in Hamilton and we’re looking for compassionate, motivated individuals to join us as Later Living Carers.

Role Summary

As a Later Living Carer you will support older and vulnerable adults to live independently in their own homes within our developments. From personal care to meal support, your kindness and reliability will help our customers feel safe, respected, and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal, emotional and social care in line with assessed needs.
  • Support customers to live independently, promote positive outcomes.
  • Assist with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate care records and medication logs.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures, H&S policies and SSSC registration.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in care or working with older/vulnerable people.
  • SVQ in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Strong communication and basic IT skills.
  • A respectful, inclusive approach to working with older people.
  • Team spirit and willingness to support others.

Benefits and Conditions

  • Hourly rate: £13.00.
  • Hours: 15–23 per week on a rolling rota.
  • Shifts: Flexible morning and back shifts (7:30 am–10:00 pm), including weekends.
  • Contract: Permanent.
  • Location: On‑site within one of our Later Living developments.
  • Start date: October to November.
  • Paid training, development & SVQ qualifications.
  • Generous annual leave & pension contributions.
  • Paid SSSC registration & PVG check.

Please note: this role is subject to satisfactory interview, references and a PVG check. You will be required to register with the SSSC, complete mandatory training within a timeframe, and commit to studying for an SVQ in Care & Support if you do not already hold this qualification.
