Trust Housing Association is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join our team in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire on a part‑time, permanent basis.
Compensation & Schedule
- £12.60 per hour
- 15 hours per week, a mixture of shifts over an average of 3 days per week on a 2‑week rolling rota
- Typical weekly hours: Week 1 – Weds, Thurs, Fri (18 hrs); Week 2 – Sat, Sun (12 hrs)
- Working hours: 11:30 am to 6:00 pm with a half‑hour unpaid break
- Generous holiday entitlement
- Ongoing paid training and personal development
- Paid candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining room areas.
- Carry out cleaning duties as outlined in the development‑cleaning schedule.
- Assist with basic food preparation.
- Serve meals to tenants.
- Assist with escorting tenants to the dining room when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Customer service skills.
- Willingness to obtain a REHIS certificate in Elementary Food Hygiene (or already hold one).
