Trust Housing is looking for an experienced Cook to join our team in Galashiels on a permanent part‑time basis (30 hours per week on an average 2‑week rolling rota).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and create menus.
  • order ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook meals using a variety of techniques.
  • Work alongside the catering assistant.
  • Maintain kitchen organisation and efficiency.
  • Follow food handling, sanitation and storage procedures.

Hours & Rota

Average 30 hours per week.

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Qualities & Experience

  • Adept at multitasking and moving around a kitchen.
  • Experience with a range of ingredients and cooking techniques.
