Wehave exciting opportunities for a Support Worker (Older People) to join our team at Ashgrove Court, Newton Stewart, Dumfries & Galloway DG8 6TJ.

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment as a Supported Housing Worker we will offer you: –

  • 16.75 contracted hours per week worked over average 3 days (4-weekly rotas will involve a mixture of days in a given week)
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.00 per hour
  • Generous Holiday Entitlement

What we’re looking for in our Support Workers:

You’ll be working with our tenants to make sure they receive the support identified in their personal plan ensuring they continue to enjoy as much independence as possible. You will assist with meal delivery and provide support in the dining room, there may also be very occasional kitchen duties.It’ll be rewarding looking after those who rely on the support and dedication you’ll bring to this important role.

Support Worker Skills and Experience:

Ideally, you will have an appropriate qualification in Health & Social Care and previous experience of working with older people or other vulnerable members of a community, so you will understand their needs and know how to meet these. If you are successful in joining our team we can provide you with fantastic opportunities to develop your experience or enhance your career in social care and assist with your ongoing continued personal development.
