Role: Quality Assurance Manager

Service Type: CQC & Ofsted services

Location: Midlands based – national travel

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 + car allowance

Are you passionate about Quality Assurance, and making sure that services are operating at the best level they can? Do you enjoy coaching managers, turning complex regulations into clear, practical improvements for services?

The role:

  • Lead and embed quality assurance processes across a mixed portfolio of CQC and Ofsted regulated services.
  • Complete audits, inspections and thematic reviews, turning findings into clear, workable action plans for service managers.
  • Support with regulatory responses, incidents, complaints and safeguarding, helping services respond confidently and learn, not blame.

What you will be doing:

  • Setting and refining QA policies and procedures that keep people safe and services inspection-ready.
  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting managers and teams, promoting person-centred practice and robust care planning.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulators, always championing continuous improvement and best practice.

About you:

  • Level 5 Health & Social Care (or equivalent) and at least 5 years’ experience in health or social care settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK regulation and compliance, with experience in audits, policy development and delivering training.
  • Empathetic, resilient and collaborative, with the confidence to lead change, manage competing priorities and model a no-blame, learning culture.

Package and travel:

  • Salary £50,000–£60,000 depending on experience, plus essential car user allowance.
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays, plus employee assistance scheme and wider benefits.
  • Midlands-based role with regular nationwide travel across the organisation’s portfolio of services.
