You’ll play a key part in commissioning, service development, and growing a quality-led home that genuinely puts residents first. With direct input into decision-making and the opportunity to influence the direction of the service, you’ll have the freedom to lead in a way that reflects your values and experience.

Whether that’s developing links with local authorities, supporting private residents and families, or creating a positive culture within the home, your voice and leadership will have a direct impact.
You’ll also have the opportunity to shape standards, improve occupancy, develop your team, and create a service you’re genuinely proud to put your name to.
The role
You’ll oversee a residential care home supporting older people, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered across every part of the service. Alongside maintaining compliance and operational standards, you’ll focus on creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents, families, and your team. This is a hands-on leadership role where visibility, accountability, and relationship-building matter just as much as performance.
What you’ll do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the home with a strong focus on quality and resident experience
- Support commissioning, occupancy growth, and service development
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, professionals, residents, and families
- Create a positive culture where your team feels supported, motivated, and accountable
- Ensure the service remains compliant, inspection-ready, and focused on continuous improvement
What you’ll need
- At least 2 years’ experience managing a CQC-regulated care home
- Strong background supporting older people within residential or nursing care
- Confident understanding of CQC standards and quality-led care delivery
- A proactive leadership style with the ability to drive occupancy, standards, and team performance
- Passion for building a service that delivers outstanding care and long-term success
