Trust Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated KS2 HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in the S36 area of Barnsley from September 2026 until December 2026. This mornings-only role is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting Key Stage 2 pupils and delivering engaging learning activities across the classroom. The school is seeking somebody reliable, adaptable and passionate about helping children flourish academically and socially.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting teaching and learning across KS2 classes
  • Delivering planned interventions and small group sessions
  • Covering lessons when required across Key Stage 2
  • Supporting pupils with varying learning needs
  • Assisting teachers in creating an engaging and positive learning environment

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have recent experience working within KS2
  • Be confident leading small groups and whole class sessions
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
