We are currently recruiting for an outstanding Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-supported primary school in the S73 area for the final half-term of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a settled Year 6 environment at a key but rewarding time of year. With SATs completed, the focus shifts to consolidating learning while also being part of memorable end-of-year activities, including a performance and celebration events. You’ll be working alongside an experienced parallel Year 6 team, ensuring you are supported throughout.
We are looking for a teacher who is proactive, committed, and keen to become part of the school team during their time in post, someone who takes pride in seeing things through and contributing positively to the wider school community.
The Role:
- Full-time class teacher responsibilities within a Year 6 setting
- Deliver engaging lessons that continue to build on pupils’ progress post-SATs
- Contribute to end-of-year activities, including performances and celebrations
- Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 6 class and wider staff team
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, delivery, and marking in line with school expectations
- Supporting and updating SEND provision where required
- Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Attending relevant staff meetings (Wednesdays until 4:30pm, where applicable)
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable but not essential)
- A proactive, team-oriented approach
- Strong organisational and classroom management skills
- A willingness to fully engage with school life during the placement
