Trust Education is recruiting on behalf of a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in the Barnsley area for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher.

The Role:

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons in a Year 1 class
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with the primary curriculum
  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, staff, and parents to support pupil progress
  • Providing high-quality teaching that supports pupils of all abilities and learning needs
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community during the placement

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Year 1
  • Be passionate about inspiring and supporting children's learning and development
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Be reliable, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Have a proactive and positive approach to teaching and learning
  • Be adaptable and confident teaching across different year groups if required
