Mansfield Position: Full-Time Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Maternity Cover \n Are you a passionate Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity in a supportive and welcoming school? \n Trust Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Mansfield who are looking for a dedicated teacher to join their team as a Year 1 Class Teacher , covering a maternity leave. \n This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher, or an ECT looking to take on their first longer-term teaching position , to join a friendly school and make a real difference to a class of enthusiastic young learners. The Role:\n \n Taking full responsibility for a Year 1 class \n Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons \n Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development \n Working closely with the wider teaching team \n Monitoring and assessing pupils' progress \n Creating a positive and nurturing classroom environment \n Supporting children as they develop their independence and confidence \n Working closely with parents, carers and colleagues where required \n Phonics Experience is Essential\n As a Year 1 teacher, the successful candidate must have a good understanding of phonics and be confident delivering phonics lessons. \n Experience with a recognised phonics programme would be highly desirable, although teachers with strong phonics knowledge and experience will also be considered. The Ideal Candidate:\n \n Holds QTS or is an ECT working towards QTS \n Has experience teaching within a primary school setting \n Has a strong understanding of phonics and early reading \n Ideally has previous experience within EYFS or KS1 \n Is confident planning and delivering engaging lessons \n Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills \n Is nurturing, enthusiastic and passionate about working with young children \n Is adaptable and works well as part of a team \n \n ECTs are very welcome to apply!
