Trust Education are recruiting on behalf of a nurturing primary school in the WF12 area for a supportive and experienced Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a fixed term role starting in September, 2 days a week offering a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced Key Stage 1 team.
The Role:
- Providing 1-1 support, ensuring the pupils' needs are met in line with their individual learning plan and following EHCPs
- Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Helping to maintain an organised classroom and prepare resources for lessons
- Promoting inclusion and ensuring all students feel valued and supported
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Be experienced working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary setting
- Display a patient, caring and empathetic approach
- Be reliable, supportive and able to work successfully as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
