Teaching Assistant (Temporary) Primary Schools West Yorkshire

Pay: £85 - £100 (PAYE)

Contract: Temporary

Location: West Yorkshire (Leeds, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees & Wakefield)

Start date: ASAP / Next half term (subject to availability)

Trust Education is a West Yorkshire‑based education recruitment agency, and we’re currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for temporary roles in primary schools across the region. We’re looking for supportive, reliable individuals who can help pupils thrive and make a real difference in the classroom.

The Role

  • Support the class teacher with day‑to‑day learning activities
  • Work with pupils 1:1 or in small groups (including phonics, reading, and numeracy support)
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain classroom routines
  • Support pupils with SEND and/or additional needs (where required)
  • Assist with preparing resources and creating a positive learning environment
  • Help with break/lunchtime duties depending on the school’s needs

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑focused attitude
  • The ability to adapt to different schools and year groups in temporary placements
  • Relevant qualifications/training (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3) are beneficial but not essential
