  • Your Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) both in and out of the classroom.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and provide one-to-one or small group support where required.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual learning plans.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence and confidence.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and SEND policies at all times.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a UK primary school.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential with suitable experience.
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
