Key Responsibilities * Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum * Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils * Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and higher attainment * Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and wellbeing * Work collaboratively with parallel class teachers and teaching assistants to ensure continuity across the week * Contribute to medium- and long-term planning within the year group * Maintain high expectations of behaviour in line with the school’s policies * Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing * Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as appropriate to the role * Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times Person Specification Essential: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Experience teaching in a primary setting * Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, including phonics and early maths * Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons * Effective classroom management skills * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Desirable: * Knowledge of phonics schemes * Experience working in a job-share or part-time teaching role * Understanding of assessment frameworks Additional Information * The role may involve a job-share arrangement with another teacher * Planning and handover time will be essential to ensure continuity of learning * The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check
