We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school team in the Mansfield area. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning in the classroom, helping pupils to achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment. The role is ideal for a motivated Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting children’s learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities as a Teaching Assistant.
- Work with individuals or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
- Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment.
- Follow all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, behaviour management, and health and safety.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) when required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development.
- Observe and report pupil progress to the class teacher.
- Help supervise pupils during classroom activities, breaks, and school events when necessary.
