About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS2 class, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire and challenge all learners. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic achievement and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor, evaluate, and support pupil progress
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of assessment frameworks, including formative and summative approaches
- Adapt teaching based on assessment outcomes to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment with a strong classroom presence
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage Two (placements accepted for ECTs)
- Proven understanding of assessment practices and how they inform teaching and learning
- Confidence in tracking pupil progress and using data effectively
- Excellent classroom management skills and a strong, confident presence
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
