About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a KS2 class, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire and challenge all learners. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic achievement and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor, evaluate, and support pupil progress
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of assessment frameworks, including formative and summative approaches
  • Adapt teaching based on assessment outcomes to meet the needs of all learners
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment with a strong classroom presence
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage Two (placements accepted for ECTs)
  • Proven understanding of assessment practices and how they inform teaching and learning
  • Confidence in tracking pupil progress and using data effectively
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a strong, confident presence
  • A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
