- Primary Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across the primary age range.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to support pupil progress.
- Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils of mixed abilities, adapting learning where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.
- Show initiative while working collaboratively as part of the wider school team.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential with suitable experience.
- A positive, proactive and reliable approach to supporting children's learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
