Trust Education are currently recruiting for a committed and organised Full-Time Admin Assistant to join a specialist SEND provision on the Rotherham/Sheffield border. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, starting ASAP on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator who is looking to work within a supportive and specialist educational environment, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the provision.

The Role

You will provide effective administrative support to the school and wider staff team, assisting with the organisation and coordination of daily school activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative duties, including maintaining accurate records, responding to emails and telephone enquiries, supporting staff with paperwork and documentation, and assisting with the general running of the school office. You will work closely with staff, pupils and families, so excellent communication skills, professionalism and a calm and approachable manner are essential.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous administrative or office-based experience
  • Ideally have experience working within a school, education or SEND setting
  • Have excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be professional, approachable and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be able to manage confidential information appropriately
  • Have a calm and patient approach when working in a SEND environment
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
