We are seeking a talented Creative Content Designer to join our External Communications team and play a pivotal role in shaping how our nationally recognised business units communicate, engage and inspire. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile designer who combines strong technical expertise with a creative mindset. You'll be responsible for creating engaging visual content that supports a range of audiences, including consumers, businesses, regulators, industry stakeholders and the media.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating engaging and impactful print and digital creative assets that bring our brands and business objectives to life.
- Using your creativity and design expertise to transform complex information into compelling visual stories that resonate with a wide range of audiences.
- Championing and evolving our brand identities, ensuring consistency while introducing fresh and innovative design solutions where appropriate.
- Developing and enhancing branded resources and templates that empower colleagues across the organisation to deliver professional, high-quality communications.
- Building strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across our business units, providing creative support and guidance on a diverse range of projects.
- Maintaining and continually improving our creative asset libraries, ensuring valuable design resources remain organised, accessible and easy to use.
- Helping shape the visual experience of our external channels by reviewing and refreshing website imagery and content, with consideration for user experience and responsive design.
- Bringing fresh thinking and new ideas by staying ahead of design, content and digital trends and applying them to your work.
- Exploring opportunities to expand your skills across motion graphics, video production, photography, image editing and social media content creation.
- Playing an active role in enhancing how our organisation communicates and engages with audiences through creative excellence.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- A strong portfolio that showcases your creativity, versatility and ability to deliver engaging work across digital, print and social channels.
- At least two years' experience in a creative design, content creation or multimedia role, with a proven ability to create high-quality content for diverse audiences.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, with confidence in producing professional, print-ready artwork.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to take ownership of projects and identify opportunities for improvement.
- A genuine enthusiasm for learning, developing new skills and embracing opportunities to grow within the role.
Preferred Background
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or other multimedia and animation tools.
- Experience designing and publishing reports, research papers or annual publications.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media content creation with an engagement-focused approach.
- Experience creating and managing website assets through Content Management Systems such as WordPress or Craft CMS.
- Photography, image editing and copywriting experience.
- A relevant qualification in design, multimedia, communications or a related discipline would be beneficial, although a strong portfolio and demonstrable experience are equally valued.
