Overview

We are seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English and General Studies to join Truro School Prep. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for English and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and pastoral care that supports the academic and personal development of children across Truro School Prep.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will bring energy, creativity and expertise to the teaching of English and General Studies, inspiring pupils of all abilities and fostering a love of language, literature and learning. They will plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons, use assessment and data effectively to support progress, and adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils across key stages. In addition to classroom teaching, the role involves contributing to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities, extra-curricular activities, educational visits and events. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and actively engage in professional development.
