Truro and Penwith College are looking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Room Bookings & Lettings Assistant to join our Operations and Examinations Team. This is a key role supporting the smooth running of examinations, internal events, and external lettings across the College.
In this varied and fast-paced position, you will provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the efficient coordination of room bookings, timetable changes, and examinations arrangements. You will also support the planning and delivery of College events, liaise with Estates and support teams, and maintain accurate rooming information, booking systems, and the College events calendar. Evening or weekend work may occasionally be required, with TOIL provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys logistical organisation, problem-solving, and working collaboratively with a range of teams.
What We're Looking For:
- Highly organised, with strong administrative experience in a busy environment.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities confidently.
- Skilled in using IT systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
- An effective communicator who can respond promptly and professionally to staff, students, and external partners.
- Calm under pressure—particularly during examination periods and College events.
- Experience working in education, event coordination, timetabling, or facilities support is desirable but not essential.
- Qualifications at Level 2 in English and Maths are required.
