Our Construction team delivers high-quality courses and apprenticeships across multiple trades, and we’re now looking for a Carpentry Lecturer to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from industry who is passionate about their craft and ready to take the next step in their career.
Although teaching qualifications would be beneficial, you don’t need to have one – we’re committed to developing and growing our lecturing team. We’ll provide you with the training, development and support to gain the skills, knowledge, behaviours, and qualifications needed to become a successful educator in the carpentry specialism.
You’ll deliver engaging, hands-on training in site and or joinery-based carpentry. At Truro College we deliver levels 1, 2, 3 and a full range of Apprenticeships, adult courses and bootcamps in these specialist skilled areas, with the aim to develop the construction workforce and train the future of the profession. All courses cover both practical and theory sessions in areas such as:
- Health and Safety
- Woodworking joints
- Doors, windows, stairs, kitchens, roofing
- First and second fix tasks
