Are you passionate about History and inspiring the next generation of learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Modern History to join our thriving A Level provision at Truro Campus. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated educator with a strong background in A Level History to become part of a successful, supportive, and student-focused department.
You will combine excellent subject knowledge with the ability to engage and inspire learners, helping them achieve their full academic potential. As a member of our teaching team, you will deliver high-quality lessons, contribute to an exceptional student experience, and play a key role in maintaining the high standards for which our College is recognised.
In addition to teaching A Level History, you will have responsibility for a tutor group, providing guidance and support to students throughout their studies.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification
- Has experience of teaching A Level History
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine passion for their subject
- Builds positive and effective working relationships with students and colleagues alike
The successful candidate will be a committed team player who brings energy, confidence, and dedication to every aspect of their work.
*Salary as advertised is based on a qualified lecturer. Non-qualified applicants will be considered and appointed to the non-qualified lecturer pay scale where appropriate.
We offer a generous package with benefits including 40 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays and College closure days, Teachers’ Pension Scheme, relocation package, free on-site parking and a variety of on-site benefits and discounts.
