Learning Resources Assistant
Truro and Penwith College are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Learning Resources Assistant to join our friendly Library and Learning Resources team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with students and staff, has strong administrative skills, and is keen to support a busy, student‑centred environment.
About the role
You will help with the day‑to‑day running of our Learning Resources service, including:
- Supporting students and staff at the library counter and responding to enquiries
- Maintaining, displaying and issuing a wide range of resources
- Carrying out stock checks, repairs, and renewals
- Assisting with general administrative tasks such as word processing, handling post, and responding to emails
- Helping the team develop and adapt services as the department evolves
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Good knowledge of library procedures (experience in any library setting is welcome)
- High IT literacy, especially with Word and Excel
- A confident and professional approach to customer service
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A willingness to learn new systems and processes
A degree‑level qualification is desirable but not essential.
