We’re looking for an experienced HR Associate with a strong recruitment and staffing focus to support our managers during a busy and exciting period for the College.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, people‑facing role where recruitment is front and centre. You’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a smooth, compliant and positive experience for candidates and hiring managers alike.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, from vacancy approval to onboarding.
  • Screen applications, coordinate shortlisting and interviews.
  • Support managers to recruit efficiently, effectively and cost‑consciously.
  • Issue contracts, coordinate inductions and ensure timely starts.
  • Maintain recruitment data, track activity and produce reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safer recruitment requirements and the Single Central Record.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified.
  • Experienced in recruitment, HR administration and employee relations.
  • Confident managing multiple vacancies and priorities at pace.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused and confident using HR systems.
  • Knowledgeable in employment law and safer recruitment practices.
  • Professional, approachable and comfortable advising managers.
  • Experience in the FE or education sector is desirable.

Additional Requirements

All applicants must be willing to undergo a Criminal Record (DBS) check and past employment checks.
