Truro and Penwith College are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking Deputy Head of Faculty - Occupational to join our Penwith campus and help drive one of the most diverse and exciting faculties in the College. From Hair & Beauty to Hospitality, Construction and Automotive, our Occupational Faculty is at the heart of hands-on, industry-relevant education - and we’re searching for someone who can help take it to the next level.

What you’ll be doing:
- Leading operational planning and contributing to faculty strategy.
- Supporting curriculum design that reflects real industry practice.
- Driving quality processes including QIPs, learning walks, SARs and audits.
- Coaching and mentoring staff to deliver outstanding teaching.
- Overseeing learner progress, behaviour, interventions and achievement.
- Managing resources, timetabling and faculty budgets efficiently.
- Representing the College at cross-college groups, events and employer forums.
What you’ll bring:
- A relevant degree and/or teaching qualification.
- A track record of excellent teaching practice.
- Experience in curriculum or departmental leadership.
- Strong communication, organisational and people-management skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education, continuous improvement and learner success.
- Experience within vocational curriculum areas or quality processes would be an advantage - but passion, resilience and leadership presence matter just as much.
