We're looking for a Sales Development Representative to help us turn interest into opportunity.
Purpose of the Role
This is a hands-on role sitting between marketing and new business. You'll own the day-to-day nurture of warm leads, manage our HubSpot pipeline, coordinate follow-ups, activate useful content and help move prospects from initial interest through to qualified opportunity and pitch stage. It's a great role for someone who is highly organised, commercially curious and confident speaking to prospects, but who also enjoys the practical side of making marketing activity happen. You won't be expected to create the content yourself, but you will be close enough to our prospects to spot what they care about, what questions they are asking, and what content or proof points we should be putting in front of them. This is not a cold sales role. It is about building relationships, keeping momentum, and making sure good conversations do not go cold.
What You'll Do
- Own the nurture of warm leads generated through campaigns, events, referrals, content, inbound enquiries and senior relationships.
- Manage follow-ups with prospects, keeping conversations moving in a useful and timely way.
- Speak directly to leads to understand their challenges, share relevant Trunk thinking and guide them towards the right next step.
- Book calls with the right Trunk experts when a prospect is ready for a deeper conversation.
- Qualify opportunities and help move prospects towards brief or pitch stage.
- Manage HubSpot day to day, keeping pipeline stages, contact records, tasks and next actions up to date.
- Build and maintain nurture journeys across email, CRM and content touchpoints.
- Coordinate the practical activation of marketing activity, including uploading blogs, scheduling emails and supporting campaign delivery.
- Work with the wider team to identify useful content, proof points, case studies and sector insights that can support prospect conversations.
- Spot gaps in our content based on what prospects are asking for.
- Support reporting on lead quality, pipeline movement, nurture performance and campaign follow-up.
- Help create a more consistent link between marketing activity and new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the CCO, Growth Director, senior team and client teams to make sure opportunities are handed over clearly at the right stage.
What We're Looking For
- Around 3+ years' experience in marketing, pipeline nurture, CRM, business development support, growth marketing or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience using HubSpot. This is essential.
- Someone highly organised who is comfortable managing multiple prospects, tasks, timelines and follow-ups at once.
- Confidence speaking directly to prospects in a professional, warm and helpful way.
- A good commercial instinct — you can spot when someone is showing real interest, when they need more nurturing, and when they are ready to speak to a senior expert.
- Experience working with email marketing, CRM workflows, campaign follow-up or lead nurture journeys.
- Comfortable coordinating content and marketing activity, such as blog uploads, email scheduling, content libraries and campaign assets.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when managing CRM records, contact lists, follow-ups and handovers.
- A proactive mindset. You'll be expected to spot opportunities, chase actions and keep momentum without needing constant direction.
- Good written communication skills for follow-up emails, CRM notes and internal updates.
- An interest in agencies, marketing, brands and how businesses make decisions.
- Someone who enjoys working across teams and can bring structure to a busy, fast-moving environment.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We had always thought our business was open and inclusive. After all, one of our values is "Everyone matters". We hammer home the behaviour of treating everyone with respect, seeing things from the other person's perspective, understanding that everyone has different values, responsibilities, concerns, families. But when you delve a little deeper into Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, this value is a great place to start but it involves so much more.
Here at Trunk, we naturally welcome difference. It's what gives us strength as a business, the wide breadth of experience, capabilities, and perspectives. And any creative business knows that the best ideas don't come from just one place. Diversity is important, but we feel what makes the real difference is inclusivity, or the act of helping people feel valued and enabled regardless of their differences.
We have really then only just begun our diversity and inclusivity journey. We started by ensuring everyone has mandatory training to help people understand what it means to be inclusive. We've set up a panel of people within the business to champion difference, and we have ambassadors who are gaining their IPA D, E & I certifications. We continue to learn and evolve, and realise that this is not a quick win, or a 'one and done'.
We are adapting our practices, offering home working, flexibility around start times, offer monthly life-balance days, offer access to mental health professionals, assess our working spaces to accommodate brilliant neurodivergent minds. And will continue to evolve to enable the difference around us.
