TruLife Optics is a British laboratory based Technology company in London E14. We have around 30 staff in this facility and we are a friendly, team-based professional company. We specialise in utilising world-leading holographic technologies to develop revolutionary Augmented Reality optical components for smart-glasses.

We are seeking a part-time Laboratory Support Assistant to help maintain a well-organised, clean, and efficiently run optical laboratory. This role is essential in supporting our scientific teams by ensuring that laboratory spaces and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use. No prior laboratory experience is required — full training will be provided. This role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, takes pride in organisation, and is comfortable following clear instructions.

Because the laboratory is a shared space, the role involves regular, friendly communication with lab users to coordinate tasks and minimise disruption to ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of laboratory areas, including storage spaces, working laboratories, and shared equipment
  • Cleaning and tidying optical and laboratory equipment according to provided procedures
  • Assisting with routine maintenance tasks for laboratory equipment
  • Organising tools, components, and consumables
  • Supporting safe working practices within the laboratory
  • Reporting any equipment issues or safety concerns to staff
  • Assisting with general laboratory upkeep as required
