Role Outline:
You will be responsible for fabricating doors and windows in a target driven environment.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 14:00pm – 22:00pm (37.5 hours per week).
Hourly Rate:
The hourly rate of £14.08 per hour includes a shift premium of £6.50 which is paid after completion of 7.5 hours work on this shift. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that windows and doors are accurately fabricated by choosing appropriate materials, and then cut, shape and finish.
- Undertake a wide range of manufacturing activities which involves working with window and door components, which may include frames, sashes, glass, glazing, paints, waxes, fitting hardware and assembly.
- Use a range of hand tools and machinery, which may include mallets, chisels and drill drivers.
- Use jigs (as required).
- Use a tape measure and other measuring equipment (as required).
- Ensure that the Company's high standards and targets are achieved on a daily basis.
- Adhere to the Company's safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. This includes using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and following procedures for handling materials and operating machinery.
- Communicate (and where possible, address) any issues that may arise during the fabrication process such as material defects and design challenges.
