About the Role

We are seeking a highly professional, discreet and dependable Private Driver to support a high-profile Principal in a full-time, permanent capacity. This position requires an individual who is calm under pressure, exceptionally reliable, and capable of operating with the highest levels of discretion and professionalism. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation, maintaining vehicle readiness, and supporting a dynamic and often changing schedule. Due to the nature of the Principal's role, the position requires a high degree of flexibility, with regular evening and weekend working forming an integral part of the role. Candidates with backgrounds in executive chauffeuring, private household service, close protection, military service, police driving, or other security-focused environments are particularly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, discreet and efficient transportation for the Principal and authorised guests.
• Maintain a highly flexible approach to working hours, including regular evening and weekend commitments, in line with the Principal's schedule and professional obligations.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained to exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and mechanical readiness.
• Manage vehicle servicing, maintenance schedules, fuel levels and general upkeep.
• Plan routes effectively, taking into account traffic, timing, security considerations and last-minute changes.
• Liaise closely with the Principal's office and wider support team to ensure seamless travel arrangements.
• Exercise sound judgement, professionalism and situational awareness at all times.
• Uphold strict confidentiality and maintain the highest standards of conduct and discretion.
• Remain alert to personal security considerations and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks during travel and public engagements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Private Driver, Executive Chauffeur, Security Driver or in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of London and UK road networks.
• Strong route planning and navigation skills.
• Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and manner.
• Demonstrable discretion, reliability and trustworthiness.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including regular evenings, weekends and occasional short-notice changes to accommodate the Principal's commitments.
• Strong situational awareness and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience supporting high-profile individuals, senior executives, public figures or private principals.
• Close Protection experience or a background in military service, police driving or a security-focused environment.
• Advanced driving qualifications.
• Current SIA Close Protection Licence.

Additional Information
